I have a PHP website with the domain name xxx.mg, which has been indexed by Google for a long time.

Now, I have a new website built on Odoo.sh, and I would like to use the DNS from the old site for this new Odoo website.

I want to change the domain name of the site without modifying the DNS of my Odoo.sh database.

What I have done:

  • I changed the CNAME of the DNS to point to my Odoo.sh IP.
  • I added the domain name in Settings > Website > Domain Name.

How can I achieve what I want?

Hi,
In the DNS provider add a CNAME record pointing to Odoo SH project URL.

Domain Configuration

Perform the following operations in your domain manager:

Create a CNAME record www.yourdomain.com pointing to yourodooshproject.odoo.com.

If you want to use the naked domain (e.g. yourdomain.com), you need to redirect yourdomain.com to yourodooshproject.odoo.com.

SSL/HTTPS

If the redirection is correctly set up, the platform will automatically generate an SSL certificate with Let's Encrypt within the hour and your domain will be accessible through HTTPS.

It is currently not possible to configure your own SSL certificates on the Odoo.sh platform.

Also you have to add your domain in the settings page of Odoo SH screen under Custom Domains

Thanks
