I know you can setup two companies in one database. But I want to keep two companies completely separate and one company may have to migrate to another server in the future. What is best? I have three users on two companies. Odoo8 running on a synology NAS

If the company A has no link with the B, you will avoid all the configurations and issues due to the multi-company mode.
