As I understand it, the physical inventory module does not allow for stock counts to be entered in the past, when they actually happened, rather the counts are entered as of the time of entry onto OpenERP.
Therefore should any stock movements be recorded as having taken place between these two times, then the stock figure will be in error.
Does anyone know of any ways of overcoming this problem?

Hello Hugh, This sounds like a bug. The posting is set at the date in the document when you save it. After it, it is changed to the actual date. I will report it as a bug, as it should be booked at the counting date.
