Receiving Products 'done' column is un-editable

Question

Just got this set up and running; and trying to learn how to run through receiving materials.
I watched youtube and tried googling this to no avail.
I create a PO - with the items I want to order and their respective quantities.  Then I go to receive the product; and I'm supposed to click "Edit" then type under the done column - the quantities received - however in both firefox/chrome - I can't edit that field. The only thing I can do is click Validate which puts all the done quantities at what

In Odoo 14 (haven't checked earlier versions) the 'Done' quantity is also not editable if you enable multiple locations.
This makes some sense, but is quite inconvenient if you normally want to receive into the default location for that Operation Type.

Hi Kris,
One way this column becomes read-only is if you have enabled the associated product to be tracked by lot or serial number. Instead of editing it directly, there will be a icon to the right of it with four lines. Clicking this will open a screen to input your qty and lot/serial number.
However, in your comment you mentioned that you could change the ordered qty. If the picking is ready to be received you shouldn't be able to change this. What state is the picking in (top right hand corne

This is the correct answer.  not sure how I tied it to lot or serial number - I'll look into that. But doing what you said resolved the issue.
