Odoo/OpenERP release strategy ... Where is stable ?

Hello

What is the release strategy for Odoo/OpenERP.

There are some statements here: https://doc.openerp.com/v7.0/contribute/14_release_cycle/#release-cycle

Which do not seem to be applied in GitHUB  where only nightbuilt are available

Could someone clarify ?

Odoo's release strategy is more of a guideline and from what I can see, they are less worried about dates and more worried about what will ship and getting it right.  I only fault their lack of communication not the quality of the product.

The nightly build repository:  http://nightly.odoo.com [1]  is tied to launchpad at the moment.  I believe that their development resources are currently focused on v8 Stable Release and then they will

Odoo 8 is released on github (as in, its own branch) but it is a release candidate (RC1).

Both the community as well as OpenERP themselves will test it and submit more information on a release date once this has been done.

Thank you for the clarification. As far as I get it, the download choice today are rather the nightly built of v7 or pre-release of v8 which means that there is no stable version made avalable to the community. This will only happen later on this year with release of v8.

Did I get it right?
