Is there a way to add a custom command to the Discuss module?

Question

Like a /code command that prints code correctly formatted in a channel. I am trying to develop that though an Odoo extension, but anything that I have tried has worked so far.
Any suggestion?

I would recommend reviewing how they do it which will help you understand how this is done in Odoo.
