Are there any improvements planned to the Outlook plugin for Odoo?


  • Improve installation proces (now it has to be done through the browser version by copy pasting a link to "my ow plug-in")
  • Possibility to create a follow-up task from mail (now its only possible to create an opportunity or project task)
  • using signature information from the contact when creating the contact in Odoo (for example fill out phone number or job title)
  • it asks me to log in again quite a lot

The Login steps are outdated. I'm trying to install the outlook plugin with a new user but the interface has changed and I don't seem to find the "My add-ins" option

Checked with the helpdesk you can access the add-in dialog screen directly via: https://aka.ms/olksideload

I also found out that you can centrally push the add-in using your Microsoft 365 admin center. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/manage/manage-deployment-of-add-ins?view=o365-worldwide

I managed to get it installed on the outlook app on my mac. However the plugin is missing from Outlook online. Also, my colleague doesn't get the same pop-up to the add-ins page but is redirected to the app page (appsource). I agree that this plugin needs an update to make installation easy.
