Importing Product File Error

Hi Odoo Community! I am attempting to import a product data set (in CSV and Excel formatting) and I am receiving an error in the name column it looks like. Our developers recommended us to 'Encode' the files as Unicode (UTF-8) (accessed through Save As>Tools>Web Options>Encoding) then saving the document as Unicode (UTF-8). This is the error I am receiving:

null value in column "name" violates not-null constraint DETAIL: Failing row contains (140215, null, null, 62825

Hi, Adam

Seems like "*name*" *column *is not present in your *CSV *or there is false value for "*name*" *column *due to this you are getting "*null column*" issue. So please check and update these values as "*name*" field is *required *for the *product*.
*In case you still have the same issue then please share your CSV in order to check this issue.*

I can certainly try that Mustufa Rangwala but I have over 1,000 and I still find trouble exporting data and re-uploading the data set back in troubling.

Hello,
It is not issue of Odoo 11 setup but format of your excel file.
You may try to first export from product and try to use same csv/excel to import - may be it can help.
