How can I add yield and loss in manufacturing module?

Question

Is it possible to add yield and loss for a manufacturing order of a specific product? For example, for one of our products manufactured, we have a 80% yield. This yield is our end product. If a sales order was put in for a 100 kg of say Product A, the yield of Product A would be 80 kg which would be less than desired output.

If I understood it right then it is nothing but one kind of loss which you are facing while doing MRP so in that condition you should prepare the MO directly with the 125 kg and in the last if you want to manage the loss and want to register it then you should pass the manual journal entry.
in these case, product cost will be managed accurately but against it, as you have a low qty produced with the manual journal entry it will be managed.

There is no such function by default.  But it should not be to hard to develop.
If you add a field in the reordering rule where you enter the % to add. Then an action to add this % to the qty calculated the field: To Order.
