We are currently working on improving the SEO of our website, and we're using Semrush to monitor the site's overall health. After creating multiple blog posts, we noticed that several pagination pages are being generated, such as:
- Page 1: https://www.example.com/blog
- Page 2: https://www.example.com/blog/page/2
Semrush is flagging an issue: these pages share the same meta title and description, which is considered duplicate content from an SEO perspective.
To fix this, I went to Odoo > Website > Blog > Page 2 > Optimize SEO, and changed the title and meta description. However, the changes also affect Page 1. It seems that Odoo treats these paginated pages as a single entity and does not allow setting unique metadata for each one.
After some research, it appears that this might be a limitation of Odoo’s default blog module.
So my questions are:
- Is this a known limitation of the blog module?
- Or could this be caused by a misconfiguration or incorrect usage on our part?
- If it is a limitation, what would you recommend as a workaround or best practice to avoid SEO issues with paginated blog pages?
