Hi all,
Just a few minutes ago, I tried to install Odoo 17.0.
The Windows server is a fresh install.
2 Minutes in, I come across this error when wanting to create the database link for Odoo.
Anyone can help with this?

I found the error.
In the very first screen for the installation, it asks the hostname, port, username and password.
If you change the username from localhost to anything else, the database will not be able to be installed, since it cannot resolve the name of the odoo hostname if it is not the hostname of the server or pc where Odoo is hosted on.
This must and should be better explained with a Tooltip for that screen where the hostname is defined.
if you change anything in that case you need to change in odoo config file as well.

That error means the PostgreSQL service is not running, i recommend to check if the database service is running and the port 5432 is open.
