how to handle different setup times for each product?

I have many products with many sub-assemblies. When I want to make any of the items, each part (sub-assembly) will take different amounts of time to setup e.g. if I have a workstation called 'Laser cutter' & it has a setup time of 10mins, the next item I make using the 'Laser cutter' may take 30mins to set up. How do I handle this type of problem? Is there anyone else with this problem that is using a workaround?

I have already set up the processes with setup times for a workaround but it completely messes up the costs of the products, especially if there are multiples of sub-assemblies. This seems to be quite a limitation in Odoo's MRP.

There is only one place to set setup time and that is on the WorkStation form. You can not change this by product for Odoo standard. However, You can include the setup time in the operation time on the BoM.
E.g. Item A takes 10 mins setup and 20 mins processing on Laser Cutter = 30 mins operation time
Item B takes 30 mins setup and 20 mins processing on Laser Cutter = 50 mins operation time
This may or may not work depending on your specific use case.
