About PDP
Odoo is in the process of becoming a certified Plateforme de Dématérialisation Partenaire (PDP). As a certified PDP, Odoo will enable businesses to send and receive electronic invoices to other companies and the French tax authorities for free.

What is PDP?
Partner Dematerialisation Platforms (PDP) is an independent service provider, approved and recognised by the government. With this certification, service providers are allowed to issue and receive e-invoices directly through the service provider of the counterparty.
Am I required to use PDP?
France has officially adopted mandatory e-invoicing, with implementation set for September 2026. This legislation aligns with the EU's broader push for digitalization, specifically the VAT in the Digital Age (ViDa) proposal, which mandates e-invoicing and e-reporting for cross-border transactions. How much does PDP cost?
Odoo is a free PDP. For other PDPs, the cost varies; many use a credit system or charge per document sent or received. With some businesses sending thousands of documents each year, the costs can add up quickly.
