In downtown Cairo, The Greek Campus stands as a powerhouse of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Originally a school owned by the Greek community and later acquired by the American University, the campus now serves a new purpose—fueling Egypt’s growing startup ecosystem.
Established in 2013, The Greek Campus quickly evolved into one of the region’s most dynamic tech hubs, offering flexible co-working spaces, private offices, meeting rooms, and training facilities. With its doors open to entrepreneurs, startups, and companies of all sizes, the goal is simple: build a thriving, connected community that empowers businesses to grow.
But as the community expanded, so did the need for an efficient, scalable internal system.
“Before Odoo, we were using QuickBooks for accounting and Excel sheets for sales,” says Hana Elmessiry, Technical Project Coordinator at The Greek Campus. “There was no integration, and everything was fragmented.”
The Need for a Centralized Platform
As part of the WRK+ group, The Greek Campus faced the common challenge of juggling multiple software tools across departments. QuickBooks handled the books, Excel sheets tracked sales, and other tools managed communication—creating inefficiencies and room for error.
That all changed with Odoo.
“The most important thing for us was having this centralized platform. Now, sales invoices automatically reflect in the accounting module,” Hana explains.
With Odoo, The Greek Campus eliminated manual data entry, reduced human error, and brought all departments under one digital roof. Processes became smoother, faster, and far more cohesive.
Elevating the Customer Experience
One of the biggest operational wins came through Odoo’s Helpdesk module, which transformed how the facility team manages client needs.
“If a tenant has an issue or a complaint, they submit it through the Helpdesk. Our response time improved dramatically,” says Hana.
And it doesn’t stop there. The Sales team built customized dashboards, the Marketing team uses the Website Builder, and the Inventory and Purchasing modules are currently being integrated to digitize stock tracking and procurement.
“We’re even transitioning HR into Odoo,” she adds. “To me, in one word, Odoo is empowering.”
