I hope this message finds you well.
I am trying to configure Odoo to automatically set the creator of a contact as its salesperson (user_id). I believe this can be done through the settings under Settings > Technical > User-Defined Defaults, but I’m not entirely sure how to set it up correctly.
Has anyone done this before or can you provide guidance on how to achieve this? Any tips or steps would be greatly appreciated!

I believe you might have to use automated action to update salesperson field on creation of a contact with that of the creator.
settings>technical>automated actions
You would use default if you wish to default the salesperson to a single salesperson on every contract.
