Hi,

I need to add sequence number to different items in my list.That is, I have different assets, asset 1 and asset 2.

I need to set sequence number for these assets

if it is item 1,it should be like ASSET/item1/001

if it is item 2 then it should be ASSET/item 2/001

The item 1 or item 2 should be selected from equipment name.

Please help me to do this.

Hi,

Different journals have different sequence number formats, now if you want different sequence format then you can create a new journal(s) and item(s) based on their journal will get their sequence numbering.

e.g. Invoices have different sequence and Refunds have different sequence, so all the invoices are under one format and refunds are in some other format.

So define a journal for the item(s) and set your desired sequence format for it.
