Our website has been on Odoo for a years, and we recently upgraded to 17.0.

However, we experience a wealth of SEO issues. I am looking for any advice to the problems we encounter.

1.

We have over 260 pages with 403 errors after upgrading. These seem to occur when a product has been deleted. In example I see 11 different URLs for the same product, with a 403 error. 

What is the best practise to get rid off these 403 errors. I tried redirecting, but this is almost impossible with the SEO structure in Odoo.

2 .

Number of 404 errors is exploding on the site. Everytime I look in Search Console, more 404 errors occur. 

I started redirecting, but these url are: 

"....?order=list_price+asc&category=20" 

type of URLs, that have little meaning to common man performing a search. There is probably a reason for the parameter URLs, but Google certainly is not a fan.

Best practise to get rid of the 404 errors?

We have about 500 products, but Search Console has over 12.000 URLs. And only 431 pages indexed.

3000 pages with Canonical?

2900 pages with redirects?

780 duplicates?

4500 pages not yet indexed?

Is this normal for Odoo?

Is it normal to have thousands of URLs in Odoo?

We upgraded website in October and Search Console has not been happy since. We lose organic traffic, have many pages that were indexed, and now no longer are indexed. Have URL that are completely useless indexed, and core products not indexed. I have sent site map to search Console, and daily add important URLs and ask to be indexed. But it looks like Google have no idea what Odoo URL structure is, and therefore we loose traffic.

Any advise? Recommendation on plugins, fixes, best practices are most welcome.
