ODOO Implementation methodology. Data migration

Question

Hello all,
I have read the "implementation Methodology" documentation (October 21). There is mention of data import from ERPs like Netsuite, Dynamics, SAP to Odoo. I don't have a specific case in mind yet, but I am  curious to know what is the usual favored procedure when there is a need to import data from a previous system. Is this done via CSV files, API or else?
