Hello good day, in my odoo v16 in the help desk module, every time someone sends an email for support, odoo automatically creates the user if he is not registered and then raises the ticket. Is it possible that the contact is not automatically created in the database?

Hello, thank you very much for your answer, what happens is that in "Settings" there is no button called "create partner". i'm in odoo 16

I'm experiencing the same issue but there is no visible "Settings" selection in the Helpdesk Configuration menu.

If you don't want Odoo to automatically create contacts for incoming emails, you can modify the behavior by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Odoo administration interface and navigate to the "Helpdesk" module.

  2. Click on the "Configuration" menu and select "Settings".

  3. In the Helpdesk Settings, find the "Create Partner" section.

  4. Uncheck the option "Create Partner from Incoming Email" to disable the automatic creation of contacts for incoming emails.

  5. Save the changes.

After disabling this option, when an email is received in the help desk module from an unrecognized email address, it will not automatically create a contact in the database. Instead, the ticket will be created without an associated requester.

Please note that by disabling the automatic creation of contacts, you may need to manually associate the appropriate contact with the ticket if the email is received from an existing contact or customer.
