Grupo Linka is a national cybersecurity consulting firm with more than 50 professionals. It offers specialized services in offensive, defensive, and managed cybersecurity, as well as IT outsourcing, infrastructure, cloud, networks, regulatory compliance, and training.
It works with SMEs as well as large companies, banks, and governments. Its hallmark is the combination of high technical expertise with a friendly and personal approach, prioritizing transparency, innovation, and customized solutions for each client.
After years of expansion, Grupo Linka is focused on consolidating its position as a national leader in cybersecurity. Now, with Odoo, they are one step closer to achieving this goal.
Grupo Linka before Odoo
Before incorporating Odoo, Grupo Linka only had a basic invoicing program, which undoubtedly presented many limitations that directly impacted the management and growth of the business.
Among the various limitations they encountered, there was one common factor: a lack of centralization of company information in one place.
Fragmented and unintegrated management: they only had billing software, with no connection to other critical areas of the company. This led to duplication of tasks and loss of information.
Lack of project control: there was no structured way to plan, monitor, or measure project profitability, which made it difficult to track deadlines, costs, and allocated resources.
Poor warehouse and inventory management: they were unable to efficiently control stock, movements, or procurement needs. This created risks of stock shortages or overpurchasing of materials.
No CRM or customer traceability: customer relations were limited to issuing invoices. They did not have a tool to record interactions, business opportunities, communication history, or after-sales management.
Lack of automation: processes were manual, from creating invoices to collecting data, which was time-consuming, increased the margin of error, and reduced productivity.
No overall visibility of the business: management didn't have centralized indicators or dashboards to make strategic decisions based on reliable, real-time data.
In short, having only invoicing software allowed them to issue invoices, but not to manage the company comprehensively. This situation limited growth, increased the administrative burden, and prevented Grupo Linka from optimizing internal and external processes.
With all of the company's pressure points identified, Grupo Linka set out to find the right software to help them overcome these challenges. They explored the possibilities of working with Dynamics, Sage, Zoho, or Salesforce. However, they ruled out all of the above due to their high costs, limited customization options, complex user interface, and poor scalability for a company of this size.
Grupo Link needed a more agile, simple solution with a high degree of customization, so with Odoo and the Studio app, they found their perfect match. The perfect solution for a growing SME, ideal for adapting to their actual processes without relying on heavy and costly developments.
Implementing the ideal solution
The implementation process in the organization, as in all companies, always involves a major change in overall operations. After defining the implementation phases, an initial migration was begun, which involved specialized training by the Odoo consulting team.
This training helped each department at Grupo Linka understand what it meant to start working with an ERP and adapt to the new workflows. The training included understanding the nature of the software in order to visualize the integration of the tools and understand how Odoo integrated processes that were previously completely disconnected.
Beyond the technological challenge, Grupo Linka employees faced a cultural and organizational challenge. In just six months, they managed to manage all key areas of the business from Odoo and had managed to get the entire company working in a coordinated manner with Odoo. From there, they expanded modules and functionalities, allowing them to evolve progressively and scalably towards a much more comprehensive and professionalized management.
Despite the obstacle of changing the way of operating and understanding the new logic of a system such as Odoo, working together with consultants and good practices on the part of Grupo Linka employees made it possible to successfully overcome the challenge.
“We have gone from having no visibility to having complete and quantifiable control of the company, significantly increasing our productivity and management.”
Centralizing all management in a single tool was the greatest ally in overcoming the initial challenges faced by Grupo Linka. Having a solution for every need with Odoo allows them to fully manage billing, projects, CRM, inventory, and much more.
The most significant change that Odoo has brought to Grupo Linka has been at the cultural level within the company, both in terms of centralizing information and organizing processes. Now all employees can find relevant information in one place, and integration between departments, communication with customers, and attendance management have improved.
In addition, Grupo Linka has now streamlined strategic decision-making. Thanks to tools that allow them to visualize the current situation of the company at all times through different KPIs, metrics, and dashboards, they have reduced analysis and decision-making times, achieving accurate and instant data.
Not only have they seen these improvements, but they have also seen real progress in areas they did not expect. Odoo has solved problems they did not know they had, expanding management possibilities beyond what was initially planned.
“I would definitely recommend Odoo. The scalable and affordable pricing plan, the technical support included in the subscriptions, a differential value that provides security and confidence from day one, and the flexibility offered by Odoo Studio allow the system to be adapted with small developments to suit the real needs of each organization.”
