Use case:

Price Amount : USD 100

Tax: 5%

Taxable Amount: USD 5

Total Invoice Amount: 105

New Tax XYZ 1% which should be applied on USD 105

So total amount = 105 + 1.05  Becomes USD 106.05

How we can achieve this on Odoo?

1.  Create 1 tax with 5% and Tick "Affect Base of Subsequent Taxes"  checkbox True

2. Create 2nd tax with 1% and Tick "Affect Base of Subsequent Taxes"  checkbox True

3. Create a tax group and add above both taxes in that.

4. Now Create an invoice and select the tax group in the invoice line.

Odoo tax configuraton gives us

1) percentage of price (GST)

2) percentage of price tax included (income tax)

If you have 100 and 5% GST on it it will gives you 105 and if u apply 1% on it of option 2 then 1% will be deducted from the base amount.

I hope it helps you in your scenario.

Hi, Not working. I created 5%GST and 1% Deduction. . When i apply 5% on 100 it gives 105 and 1% deduction on 105 it giving 104.01 But actual output should be 103.95. I tested on runbot odoo 12 enterprise

You must define a tax group with affecting subsequent taxes, see the link in my answer.

Hi,

Currently they do not have configuration for such tax , best solutions what I have found is create Product for example (TCS TAX @0.75%)  now in this product go to accounting tab and assign Payable Taxes and Receivable Taxes  in sales and purchase field. now while making invoice or vendor bills  simply add this product keep tax filed blank, calculate the tax amount manually and add it.  this way your tax amount will directly be posted in it's respective Journals.

I have made requests to Odoo India to add this features still there is no update fro them.

hope it helps.

This is a typical and common use case for "tax on taxes". You can find many threads on this topic, for example this one:
