In a shop I want to offer a discount on some products of 5%, but the amount or points can only be redeemed on a next purchase.


At this time I've set up a loyalty program, adding 0,05 points per euro spent. Which is comparable with this discount. But in odoo the points are redeemable in the same session while I want only the points earned in previous sessions.


Anyone has an idea of how we could do this? A coupon for next time is a very good option for example, but the points are not saved to a customer. 



It would be a great help if someone has a workaround. (Automated actions, a clever use of different loyaltysettings, a third app for community version, etc...)

Hi,

You can create a loyalty programme based on your requirements using the odoo default loyalty programme feature:

ie: if you want Loyalty points redeemable only on the next order, first you need to create a loyalty programme: where the programme type is “Next Order Coupons”, and you can set the condition rules and rewards based on your conditions under the programme.

if you satisfy the condition, on your POS order then a coupon is generated under the loyalty programme: you can copy that code and you can apply that code on your next order so the reward will be awarded, this is how the loyalty programme works for the next order coupons in odoo.

you can refer to the following screenshots:


Satisfied the rules in the first order, and earned some loyalty points.


Select the coupon and apply the coupon code in the next order to claim the rewards.


New coupons are generated.

Coupon code only works, if the customer remember the code. But the Loyalty points is different. Is there any option to apply the old value before adding current order points?
