I've installed Odoo 10 per installation from source guidelines. It results in a display like this:

Can someone explain what's going wrong? I've started odoo with log-level debug and I don't see anything which gives me no additional insight into the issue. The display is consistently broken across browsers.
They are installed correctly, I have reinstalled from source to confirm.

Make sure you have installed nodejs, less and lessc properly for your distribution.
