I use email alias in my CRM in order to automatically create opportunities. There are 2 cases : 

  • I want, for a specific email alias, that the opportunity created is automatically assigned to a vendor.
  • I want, for another email alias, that the opportunity created has no assignation at all. 

How can I handle these 2 cases?

If you go on your sales team, you can access the email alias model.

When on your email alias, you are able to change/add/remove an owner. This owner will be the person automatically assigned as the vendor on the opportunity automatically created thanks to this email alias.

This field is not mandatory. So, if you remove the owner, nobody will be assigned automatically as a vendor on the opportunity. Only the sales team will be defined because you defined the alias on the sales team.
