Hi, i would like to get started managing my company using Odoo Community Edition. 

We are small now, about 4-5 people, but we will expand to the max 10-15 people.

We dont know how to start to make everything good from beginning.

We have a synology nas where we can install it or we have a spare Lenovo ThinkCentre M710q Mini PC, Intel Core i5-7400T 2.40-3.00GHz, 8GB DDR4 (can be upgradable if needed), 128GB SSD (can be upgradable if needed).

Which is the best place to install it?

Can we setup an external access to it (web based)? Like i would like to access it from home when i'm working from home.

Hi,
Your current hardware specifications may be sufficient for now to work locally, but might not be adequate for long-term usage. A better approach would be to allocate some space on the cloud for your company, for example, with AWS. This would relieve you from concerns about space, availability, and security. Moreover, the best operating system for Odoo is Ubuntu 22.04. If you wish to install Odoo on your machine and access it from anywhere, you'll need to set up a local server on your machine and keep it connected 24/7.
