When I create a new account under Accounting->Accounts->Create and have the cursor in the Parent edit box, no list of possible parent accounts comes up, only the option to "Create and Edit". As such, I cannot set a parent account unless I create it in the same step, which isn't very convenient.
Do I have a setting wrong or am I missing something or is this a bug? I have a straight out of the box install on Ubuntu 14.04
Do you already have set up proper parent accounts (Account type "View", if I remember it correctly)?

That answers my question!! I have to have the account set as type view in order to have it show up as a possible parent. I looked online for parent account requirements but didn't find anything. I figured I was missing something simple.
