TOMAC has been a pioneer in the Malaysian market since 1984, operating as a multi-branch supplier of industrial tools and equipment. They specialize in providing torqueing, assembly, lifting, material handling, pneumatic and hydraulic solutions, as well as industrial filling systems, manipulators, and LOTO systems. Serving industries such as oil & gas, power generation, construction, automotive, aviation, and manufacturing, TOMAC also offers ISO-standard calibration and repair services for tools and machinery, along with machinery rental solutions.

TOMAC faced operational challenges, including managing over 200,000 SKUs across multiple branches. Their reliance on outdated systems like Excel and MS-DOS, coupled with manual file sharing for data linking, resulted in inefficiencies and a lack of real-time data for managerial decisions. Additionally, they needed to implement a compliant e-invoicing system for their various branches and business entities in accordance with Malaysian government regulations.

To efficiently address TMP’s needs, at Computs we have implemented a fully customized Odoo inventory management system tailored to TOMAC’s unique processes and extensive SKU list. A barcode module was developed and integrated to automate and streamline their operations. By leveraging Odoo’s modular ERP environment, we unified all business departments into a single Odoo ERP platform, enabling real-time synchronization and efficient data management. Additionally, we provided a direct integration for e-invoicing in compliance with Malaysian regulations, eliminating the need for third-party involvement and reducing associated costs.
