LanTel delivers telecom, IT and communication services to professional customers. Their business relies heavily on subscriptions combined with variable usage based on call detail records (CDR). To continue growth, LanTel decided to migrate from Odoo v15 to v18.
The Challenge
Odoo v18 handles subscriptions fundamentally different from v15, merging sales and subscriptions into one object. LanTel needed to keep its trusted workflow while also processing complex CDR files for billing, which was not standard.

dear digital designed a new layer on top of the native v18 logic to mimic the former process and developed a framework to upload CDR data that is converted into invoice lines. Subscriptions, accounting, helpdesk and timesheets were aligned.
The Results
Although the project faces technical challenges, LanTel is moving toward a robust Odoo v18 platform where telecom usage, subscriptions and finance are integrated, enabling accurate and automated billing.
