Why do we need to specify a partner when making an internal stock move? I want to know how the partner is associated to the move and why it is mandatory.
To work around for now, assign your own company as the partner.

Where are you being asked to specify a partner? Are you talking about an Internal Move (not a stock move)? The partner is not mandatory there.
