Is "create a new database" the same as "Duplicate?
Perhaps it creates a new empty database & deletes the existing one?
It seems like it could be useful but I dont want to chance loosing all my settings & data.
In my opinion this does not create a duplicate of an existing database. It is merely a proposal to add a new one either for business of for tests. This is a marketing objective from Odoo.
