As I want to test odoo V8 RC1, I installed GitHub Master branch on my Ubuntu 14.04 system. I think, everything is installed correctly, because GitHub 7.0 branch runs without any problems on my machine (the way of installing is always the same, isn't it?), but the v8 service crashes immediately after having started. This can be seen when calling web interface fails and trying to stop the service gives the following message:

Stopping odoo-server-V8: start-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 5626: No such process
odoo-server-V8.

Very strange: The launchpad trunk also runs without any problems on my machine... Is there any known bug running V8 RC1 with Ubuntu?
