Need help with Odoo 8 Installation on Windows Server 2012

Question

We would like to upgrade from Odoo v7 to v8, but all installation notes seem to focus on Ubuntu and Debian systems.

We have upgraded to the newest PostgreSQL, Python 3.4, NSIS Compiler, and Eclipse.  We have tried to follow the instructions, but most information seems to be lacking and all attempts to launch v8 have failed.

We greatly appreciate any help with instructions.  Database migration is not required.

Did you ever manage to do the upgrade? I'm trying to do the same thing but can't find a procedure anywhere..

Yes.  I downloaded the most recent .exe build (http://nightly.openerp.com/8.0/nightly/exe/) into a new folder on my server.  Then I changed the "openerp-server.conf" file to point to my current Postgre database location.  Everything installed perfect within five minutes.
