I've tried but I can't move the log in form into the header and away from a dedicated page... Any suggestion? It's easy to eliminate/hide once logged in but I'm having trouble moving the actual form to the header.

just make login form on header and give same response of original login form action. to inherit the header yo have to look up website templates
