how can i add and remove items for forms when printing. 

i need to edit what prints out on every form, for example, sales order or manufacturing order. 

where can i find the tool for editing printing restrictions?

The easiest way to do this is to use the OpenOffice Module/Plugin (base_report_designer). It allows you to customize any of the reports (printed versions of the forms) in a easy to use interface. That is the easiest way to do it without getting into custom modules/writing reports in RML. The installer for the module walks you through the process pretty well, but let me know if you have any questions or specific things you want to add/remove and I can try to help you out.
