Our company sells about 20 types of products, but each product has an infite number of potential variants (size, shape, material, color, and so on). We would like to create template products with BOM's for each option and allow our salespeople to add these templates to quotation lines by selecting the template product. The BOM's would than be modified during the quotation for the speicific instance and saved. We would end up with a customized product for that instance, but we would want the original BOM to remain unchanged so that we can use it during the next quotation. Is this possible in OpenERP 7?
