Hi,

Is it possible to defines different barcodes for each product variant and how?

Yes. Is Very simple to go about it.

1) Create all the variants and Save  

2) Click variants(which displays the number of variants you created) from the top next to "On Hand" or you can go to sales --> Products Variants. All the various variants you have created will be listed.

3) Click on each of the variants and scan the barcode for it.

Yes, it is possible to define different barcodes for each product variant. There are two main ways to do this:

  1. Use a global barcode standard. Global barcode standards, such as GS1-128 and QR Code, can be used to encode a wide variety of information, including product variants. For example, you could use a GS1-128 barcode to encode the product identifier, variant identifier, and other relevant information.
  2. Use a proprietary barcode system. You can also create your own proprietary barcode system to encode product variants. This approach gives you more flexibility, but it is important to note that your barcode system must be unique and recognizable to the retailers and other businesses that you work with.

Once you have chosen a barcode standard or created your own proprietary barcode system, you can generate barcodes for each product variant using a barcode generator. There are many free and paid barcode generators available online.

hi 

yes there is one module for this where you can get more than one barcode for single product .

check  apps.odoo.com  and search for multiple barcode
