If you try to retake an order on the POS from another user with another computer it will not work and this can lead to frustration since many businesses around the world select the products first for the client and take them to another zone to get them paid and delivered in specific cash registers.

We have a workaround for you 100% in pos:

First we will need to select the following things, but keep in mind the screenshots are from Odoo 16 however this was fully tested in V15!:

The most important thing is to have the POS as a Restaurant, this is the key to make this work, multi employees per session is highly recommended.

We will also need a floor which in this example is Global and an Early Receipt Printing.

Once inside we will be asked to place tables, this will be the number of simultaneous orders we can have and will depend entirely on the number of transactions required per business.

We will click the little pencil and start adding our orders servers:

In this example I get a max of 4 orders simultaneously so I created 6 to be on the safe side.

Now I will select the first one and add the products, right now I’m in the MIAL session.

Since I don’t give the item directly to my customer I’ll just print the bill by clicking on the Bill button:

The client does recieve this ticket and it clearly states table O1, with this ticket the client can pay for the product, so naturally the client will go to the section where they can pay for the product with the ticket in hand.

In this case the cashier would need to log in with their user:

In this case we have to log in to the same session as the first user since we are physically in the same building.

In this case ISH can see there is one order pending with O1, the client brought their ticket that said they had their products assigned to O1 so we will open this box.

It will immediately prompt up the products the client selected and the amount to pay and we can proceed to make the payment on this cash register with this other user on the same session.
