HI,

You’re facing this because not all Epson TM-U220iib models are supported directly by Odoo.

Odoo Documentation – ePOS printers with IoT Box integration(https://www.odoo.com/documentation/15.0/applications/sales/point_of_sale/configuration/epos_printers.html#epos-printers-with-iot-box-integration)

Odoo only works directly with ePOS-enabled printers (models that support Epson’s ePOS protocol).

The TM-U220 family is listed under “ePOS printers with IoT Box integration” → meaning they require an IoT Box to work with Odoo.

The TM-U220-i is the exception — it’s on the directly supported printers list because it has ePOS built in.

The TM-U220iiB (your model) does not have ePOS → Odoo cannot talk to it directly.

That’s why adding it as a preparation printer in Odoo POS doesn’t produce any printout.

To fix: either connect the TM-U220iiB via the IoT Box, or replace it with an ePOS-ready model (e.g. TM-U220-i or TM-m30ii).

As a temporary workaround, you can connect the printer to the POS device’s OS and use the browser print dialog — but you’ll lose automated printing.

For smooth POS operations, Odoo themselves recommend the TM-m30ii as the best-supported option.

Hope it helps.
