How to Restore/Add the Global Footer in Odoo Website Builder

 Step-by-Step (Using the Editor)

1. Go to your website:

   
   Website > Go to Website
   

2. From the top bar, click:

   
   Edit
   

3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, where the footer should be.
4. If no footer appears, drag a block manually:
   • In the left sidebar (Blocks tab):
     • Drag any relevant content block to the bottom (e.g., Columns, Text, Social, or Form).
     • Customize it as your new footer.
5. Now IMPORTANT:
   • Once your block is added, click on the block.
   • In the floating menu that appears, look for:
     •  "Apply on All Pages" or
     •  "Options" → Enable "Global Footer"
   This will make the block act as a footer across all pages.

 If You Don’t See “Footer” or “Apply on All Pages”

This means:

• You're probably working inside a normal content section, not a footer zone.
• You deleted the actual footer structure.

 Fix:

You need to recreate the footer section manually and convert it into a global snippet:

1. Add a section at the very bottom of any page (like Homepage).
2. Style it as you wish (with columns, contact info, links).
3. Select the entire section → click Save as Snippet (optional).
4. Then choose “Make it Global” or apply it to all pages manually.

 Advanced Option (via Backend - Developer Mode)

If you’re managing multiple websites or templates:

1. Go to:

   
   Website > Configuration > Pages or Views
   

2. Look for:
   • website.footer_default
   • Or views related to: portal.footer, website.layout, etc.
3. Restore or edit them to include your desired footer.

 Only recommended if you're familiar with Odoo QWeb templates.

Tip: Save Your Footer as a Snippet

Next time:

• After building a nice footer, Save it as a snippet using the menu so you can reuse it easily in the future.
