1. Configure Domain in Odoo

Find Domain Settings:

Look for the "Settings" or "Configuration" menu within your Odoo database.

Find the section related to "Domains," "Website," or "General Settings."

Add Your Domain:

Enter your domain name (e.g., www.yourdomain.com) in the designated field.

Click "Save" or "Apply."

2. Update DNS Records (Crucial Step)

Access Your Domain Registrar: Log in to the control panel of the company where you registered your domain (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains).  

Find DNS Management: Locate the section for managing your domain's DNS records (usually under "DNS," "Nameservers," or "Advanced Settings").

Create a CNAME Record:

Host: www (or leave blank for the root domain)

Points to: The CNAME provided by your Odoo hosting provider. This might be a specific hostname or an IP address.

Save DNS Changes: Click "Save" or "Apply" to update your DNS records.

3. Propagation Time

DNS Propagation: It can take some time (usually a few hours to 24 hours) for the DNS changes to propagate across the internet.  

5. Verify Your Domain

Check in Browser: Once propagation is complete, try accessing your Odoo website using your new domain name in a web browser.
