Making the standard inter warehouse transfers can be quite time consuming when you don’t have that much staff and when one of the warehouses doesn’t store products to sell from there and only passes them to another warehouse were all the operations take place.

The standard configuration on Odoo for quality check points is not adapted to make this checkpoint after the products have been validated as received. 

To automate that process we can configure routes. 

First we will activate multi-steps routes on the inventory settings.

The second step is configuring the warehouses and the right reception steps:

1. Warehouse 1 (central warehouse) -  Receive goods directly (1 step)
2. Warehouse 2 (alternate warehouse) - Receive goods in input and then stock (2 steps)

Then, we will create an internal location on the WH1: WH1/Quality

After that we will modify the rules on the Receive goods in input and then stock (2 steps) for WH1:

• The destination location for the rule will be WH1/Quality and this route needs to be available for warehouse 2.

After that we will create a new operation type for the quality check after receiving the products on the main warehouse:

Next, we will create a new route for the Quality transfers operation, which needs to be available for products and for warehouse 1 and 2, following this rule:

Finally, we create the Quality check point, selecting the Operation: Warehouse 1: Quality transfer
