If I'm not mistaken, it is possible in v7 to generate a subcontracting PO based on a manufacturing order with following settings:

1. Product settings (subcontracting service product)
   1. product type: Service
   2. procurement method: Make to Order
   3. supply method: Buy
   4. set supplier
2. BOM settings
   1. include the subcontracting service product in the BOM of a finished product together with other component products
3. Create MO (and run scheduler as necessary)

In v8, however, it appears such kind of configuration is no longer possible (you cannot select routes for a service product).  I would like to know if above design has really been deprecated in V8 and if there is another way to achieve the same.
