I want to generate a delivery/picking slip from a production order to tell the warehouse guys where they should pick ingredients from and what lot to use.

Configure the Warehouse where you manufacture:
First, select Multi-Step Routes in the Inventory --> Configuration --> Settings Menu.
Next, via Inventory --> Configuration --> Warehouse Management --> Warehouses, open the Warehouse where you manufacture and on the Warehouse Configuration tab, check on two or three step manufacturing.
