I’m currently dealing with a requirement to embed the Odoo 19 ERP backend inside a third-party iframe. I’ve tried several scenarios, but none were successful.

As far as I understand, Odoo does not support embedding the ERP backend in an iframe because the session information isn’t stored inside the iframe. However, I am able to embed the Odoo Portal side without any issues.

The Odoo backend is blocked from being embedded in an iframe by default. This is a deliberate and critical security feature. The portal side works because it's designed to be more open and doesn't have the same security restrictions.

For all backend pages, Odoo sets X-Frame-Options to SAMEORIGIN. Even if you disable the X-Frame-Options header, you will immediately run into the session issue.

You may be able to override this behavior with an on-premise installation of Odoo and custom proxy server settings. We don't recommend or support this configuration.
