Hi All, 

First of all, apologies, I'm new to Odoo.  

I'm sure there is a simple or even in built way to do this, but does anyone know how to build a new order (from the order form) based on previous sales order lines or how to add a custom filter to the catalog to search past sales order lines from the selected account?

I'm hoping there's an easy solution.

You could check this odoo app for your needs :"https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/17.0/sh_sale_order_history" if this works for you buy it or you can also ask to have a adding the same feature for it.

Thanks for the reply Andry. 

Really appreciated but that’s not what I’m after. i don’t want to select from a single previous order. I’d like to be able to select from the customers accumulated sales order history lines.

Hi Craig,

I think I get what you mean now. Thanks for clarifying.
AFAIK, I don't think there is any possible ways to do so in default.

Because if we think about it, this is more for user experience.
What I can suggest you to do is to open two tabs with one showing the history of customer (you can use Sales Analysis for this) and another one for you to input the sales order.

Hi Craig,

I assume you are talking between

  1. Duplicate Sale Order
    1. If you are talking about this, you can simply go to your previous sales order, click on the ⚙️, and click Duplicate. After that you can remove the lines that you don't want to have anymore.
  3. Create Purchase Order from Sale Order
    1. If this is the case, you might need to set routing which is quite advance and might confusing for you that's new.
