Hello, 
I've searched for this but it seems like the answers  are old or not working anymore.
(stated something with Timesheet, but I have a 2nd database with Timesheet working just fine)

When I click "apps" I get the message:

Module Update

Click on Update below to start the process...

|UPDATE|   |Cancel|
-----------------------------------------------

I can however, access through 
https://XXXXXXX.odoo.com/odoo/apps

I've tried upgrading manually all the modules that had status "To be upgraded", but that  didn't solve the issue either.


Im open to suggestions and solutions. Thanks

Are there custom modules installed? Upon trying to upgrade, what is written to the logs?

I've Checked, everything is from ODOO. S.A (author) and updated to lastest.

However, I've just noticed this:
when i hover over the "APPS" Module icon, the link is to:
https://XXXXXXXXX.odoo.com/odoo/action-43
instead of
 https://XXXXXXX.odoo.com/odoo/apps 

I'm not sure how could this have changed? but Pretty sure it's the only thing that's "wierd" at this moment, all the other apps have their respective links correctly

Odoo Online, odoo.sh or hosted on premise? Logs? 'https://XXXXXXXXX.odoo.com/odoo/action-43' doesn't seem relevant as long as you can access the Apps menu.

ODOO Online, I believe its also calles SaaS(?
Sorry for the lack of Logs,
(I lack that knowledge yet how to get them yet sorry)
I've got to leave now so I'll be offline for a few hours.

Hello,

I had the same problem, with very similar behavior. In my case it did not install, but it showed no error and the 'cancel installation' button appeared. I solved it when I added the module that the one you are installing depends on to the project. Check if the dependencies are in the project.

My module was already installed and running. the issue came after i made some modifications in the code and upgraded the module it then was stuck in the state 'To be Upgraded'. I also tried with an empty db and did exactly what you said and installed all the dependancies then i tried to install my module but i didnt get the install button and the module was in an uninstallable state in the database
