We created a promotion program with the intention to add a free sample product whenever the customer orders more then a certain amount worth of products. 

This only seems to work, if the customer adds this free sample product to his basket/cart. 

But the intention is that the system automatically adds the free sample products as soon as the basket/cart has a value over the defined value... Or at the time the customer inserts a corresponding promotion code during check-out...

Any idea out there :-)
