Hello everyone,

I’m trying to customize the way PDFs are generated in Odoo (v17) for quotations. By default, when Odoo generates the PDF, it places the product-related documents (PDFs linked to products) before the actual quotation.

What I would like to achieve is the opposite:

  • Add the PDF Header page (if defined)
  • Then, display the quotation in the PDF.
  • Then, append the product-related documents at the end.
  • And add the PDF Footer (if defined)

Has anyone encountered this issue or knows how to modify the order of the pages in the generated PDF?

Hi @Ritik,

I don't see the Product Attachments in the sequence of elements. 

In my configuration I only have header and footer and no option to reorder them.


Could you please add a print screen so I can understand what you mean.

In Odoo 17, when generating a PDF quotation, the default behavior places product-related documents before the main quotation content. If you need these documents to appear at the end of the PDF instead, you can achieve this by configuring the PDF Quote Builder and customizing the document order. At Wan Buffer Services, we have helped businesses streamline such document placements to enhance professional presentation. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Enable PDF Quote Builder

  • Go to Sales > Configuration > Settings.
  • Under Quotations & Orders, activate PDF Quote Builder.
  • Save the settings.

2. Configure Document Placement Order

  • Within PDF Quote Builder, arrange the sequence of elements as:
    1. Quotation Content
    2. Product Attachments
    3. Footer (if applicable)

3. Attach Product-Related Documents

  • Navigate to Products and select a product.
  • Click the Documents smart button to upload relevant PDFs (e.g., specifications, user manuals).
  • Set the Visible at option to Inside Quote to ensure inclusion.
