Hello,

if we create a new project in odoo.sh the system as described here:

https://www.odoo.com/documentation/17.0/administration/hosting.html?highlight=hosting#id3

the final url is different to the online url.

For example:
ONLINE: mycompany.odoo.com

SH: mycompany-odoo.oddo.com

how can we migrate with same url?

Thanks

Hi,
First of all, you have to take the backup from the odoo online, then drop the database from there, and restore it in the odoo sh and now try setting the old domain name here

Once you drop the odoo online db, the domain name will become available to use and you can use it in the odoo sh

Thanks

yes, I tried, but if I want to use the same of online I receive an error:

Could not save changes

The domain name xxxxx.odoo.com is already taken.

Hi,

You cannot have two instances with the exact same domain URL, you can effectively manage both an Odoo Online instance and an Odoo.sh instance using subdomains or custom DNS configurations.
If your goal is to migrate ODOO online instance to odoo.sh then backup your Odoo Online instance data and ensure that all necessary customizations, modules, and data are compatible with Odoo.sh. Create a new project and restore the backup. Then raise a ticket to ODOO support team https://www.odoo.com/help regarding the domain migration.

Thanks

Hi,

You can edit the project name of the newly created project from the settings of the project.

Step 1 : Login into the odoo.sh portal.

Step 2 : Select the newly created project from the your projects.

Step 3 : There you can able to see the settings section at the top of the page.

Step 4 : You can edit the project name in the settings page.

Thanks.
