The Challenge

Crown General's traditional operations were hindered by siloed data and manual processes that created several major pain points:

  • Administrative Overload: Staff constantly re-typed data across "data islands" (emails, Adsolut, Word, Excel) because systems did not communicate.

  • Complex Pricing ("Convectie"): Calculating bulk pricing tiers across different product lines was a heavily manual and complex process.

  • Paper-Driven Inefficiency: Document creation, order confirmations, and invoices were heavily reliant on physical printing and manual tracking.

  • Siloed Knowledge: Critical production recipes (BOMs) were trapped in a local, inaccessible "black box" planning tool.

The Digifiers Approach

Digifiers positioned itself as a highly trustable, sustainable partner by prioritizing transparency and risk mitigation.

  • MVP-First Strategy: To ensure a smooth transition, Digifiers rigorously protected the project scope by focusing only on essential "Must-Have" features for the initial go-live, parking "Nice-to-Haves" for later phases.

  • Continuity Guarantee: Digifiers offered complete transparency by guaranteeing full access to the source code, hosting on Odoo.sh, and promising zero technical or contractual vendor lock-in.

The Solution Scope (Phase 1 Must-Haves) The MVP implementation successfully centralized Crown General's core administrative tasks into one Odoo environment:

  • Automated "Convection" Pricing: A customized engine that automatically recognizes products with the same attributes and sums their volumes to apply the correct pricing tier, eliminating manual Excel calculations.

  • Digital Order Management: Incoming orders are displayed directly next to the input screen for seamless data entry without printing.

  • Streamlined Finance: Implementation of 3-way matching for incoming invoices and automated application of correct VAT and Incoterms for outgoing billing.

  • Integrated CRM: A visual Kanban pipeline to replace fragmented Excel sheets, ensuring structured lead tracking and proactive follow-ups.

The Result & Added Value Digifiers transformed Crown General's operations by replacing fragmented tools with a unified "Single Source of Truth". The strict MVP focus delivered immediate administrative relief and automated complex billing, all while maintaining a secure, lock-in-free relationship that supports sustainable future growth.
